Chicago-based transportation and supply chain management firm Echo Global Logistics has signed a lease for over 12,000 square feet at 3100 McKinnon, according to a news release.

Echo provides transportation management across all major modes and currently has offices in Downtown Dallas.

“We chose this location because it gives our team members in the Metroplex the flexibility they crave,” Sean Burke, Chief Commercial Officer at Echo, said in the release. “Amenities like access to the Katy Trail and a vibrant local restaurant scene enable our Dallas team members to recharge as they serve shippers and carriers across the country.”

Scott Hage from JLL negotiated the deal while Kelly Whaley and Hannah Mesh of Harwood International.

Harwood acquired 3100 McKinnon in 2019 and has completed renovations throughout the building. The building contains a large amenity deck, fitness center, tenant lounge and direct access to the Katy Trail.

“In an effort to create the ideal back-to-the-office experience, 3100 McKinnon has been renovated to include enhanced rooftop gardens, revamped amenities, and a Katy Trail fronting restaurant coming soon,” Whaley, director of leasing for Harwood, said in the release. “The direct access to Katy Trail is a major selling point for prospects. 3100 McKinnon is one of the few buildings with onsite, direct access to Dallas’ best outdoor experience.”

As a part of the renovations, Harwood has expanded its flex program into the building, which has over 14,000 square feet of move-in ready for tenants. The program provides a lower up-front cost to companies making the transition back into the office or opening their first space in Dallas.

“We are thrilled to welcome Echo Global Logistics into the Harwood District,” Mesh, leasing manager for Harwood International, said in the release. “We are happy to be able to provide an office space that met all of their growing needs here in Dallas.”

The new lease brings Harwood to nearly 165,000 square feet in new leases to date in 2022.
